Click Continue EP by runningonair
The “Click Continue” EP, whilst being essentially a remix CD, seeks new territory within the genre. A collection of artists of diverse styles have created 4 new tracks which are then united by an over lying musical form.
“Runningonair” is joined by “Dan Lo-Fi” and “Chocolate Girl” in the
completion of this project.
“Click Continue” is available as an mp3 download and CD-R.
The Tracks:
Click – Introduction
This piece starts pleasantly enough but builds to a distorted goose stepping
climax, which descends into a short lived bass violin drone.
Click Continue (Dan Lo-Fi Acid Coda Remix)
The first collaborative track immediately lifts the mood by introducing
direct quotes from the original and then moves on quickly into an upbeat IDM
interpretation.
Click – Interlude
Slowing the pace down, various phrases are stretched to the edge of
recognition. Digital artefacts invade the soundscape as does new thematic
ideas. Overall the mood is calm and reflective. An accompanying video of
“Click – Interlude” is also included on the disc, accessible through a PC or
other computer.
Click Continue (Chocolate Girl Remix)
The second collaborative track sparingly combines original elements and a
slew of new material into an engaging dubstep mix.
Click Continue (Original Mix)
The Disc finishes with the original track exactly as it appears on the album
“Out of Process”.
